In our beautiful region, encounters are an integral part of the journey.
At Camping Le Pré Morjal, this encounter often begins with Angélina.

A passionate manager and child of the region, she embodies a simple vision:
👉 to offer much more than a holiday… a local and human experience.

A native of Ispagnac with a passion for her region, Angélina Bouteille runs the Pré Morjal campsite and Les Cayrelles restaurant with her family.

As an ambassador for the P’tits Locaux network, she shares with us her favorite places, the traditions she holds dear to her heart, her best addresses and tips for making the most of the Gorges du Tarn, Causses and Cévennes… an authentic, friendly and rejuvenating experience.

Could you introduce yourself and tell us about your connection with the region?

My name is Angélina Bouteille and I’ve been manager of Le Pré Morjal campsite in Ispagnac since 2017. I also created the restaurant Les Cayrelles, which is located directly at the campsite.

I’m a native ofIspagnac: I grew up here, I’ve always lived here, and I’m very attached to this region. I love its landscapes, its identity, its traditions… and of course its gastronomy !

Before the campsite, we had a canoe rental business, so tourism has been part of our daily life for a long time.

Today, I work at the campsite surrounded by my family : my parents, my sister and me. It’s a real family adventure, and that’s what makes this place so lively.

What excites you most about this region?

What I love most of all is the village spirit. Here, everyone knows everyone else. You pass each other in the street, say hello naturally, without thinking.
And then there’s that spontaneous conviviality: you walk into a bar just to drink a coffee… and end up chatting with several people about the local news. It’s simple, warm and good for you.

“Natural, authentic, rejuvenating”.

Angélina’s favorites

What’s your secret spot?

I love taking people to Puechs des Bondons it’s a wonderful place, with a very special, almost timeless atmosphere.
And I’d also say the Cascade de Runes a little corner of nature that always makes an impact. It’s the perfect place to reconnect with what’s essential.

Is there a site that particularly impresses you?

Without hesitation: Point Sublime.
Even when you know it, it still impresses. The view is spectacular, and you realize just how grandiose our territory is.

A local tradition that’s close to your heart?

The tradition that touches me the most is the family’s homemade charcuterie.
Every year in January, we all get together: we buy a pig raised by my cousin, and we make charcuterie just like in the old days. It’s a real time for sharing: everyone does his or her bit, the kids join in whenever they can, and at lunchtime we all get together for a good meal.
We use our grandparents’ recipes, with a nod to modernity… because today, we do have a few machines that make life easier!

Activities and experiences

A must-try activity?

Canoeing in the Gorges du Tarn, via the Détroits. It’s an experience you’ve got to have at least once: you discover the gorges from the river, it’s magnificent and a real change of scenery.

And if you prefer not to row, you can choose the Bateliers des Gorges du Tarn: it’s another way to enjoy the river, and the guides are often very friendly!

I recommend a day at Vallon du Villaret. It’s a nature park that’s artistic, fun and cultural all in one.
And what I love about it is that it’s fun for everyone: children and adults alike. We have fun, we discover, we share… it’s a great day.

An unusual experience that’s a must?

I’d say 107: it’s dizzying, impressive… and truly unforgettable!

And in a different, more traditional but equally memorable style: lunch at Les Manouls, during theIspagnac festival on the first weekend in August. It’s a real moment of local conviviality.

Any advice for fans of outdoor activities?

You have to treat yourself, because there’s so much to choose from here: hiking, canoeing, paddling, climbing… and even snowboarding in winter.

Experience Pré Morjal

Le Pré Morjal is a family-friendly campsite, and that’s exactly the spirit we want to convey. Familial because we run it as a family, quite simply.
And convivial because we like to create shared moments with our visitors: the evenings, the exchanges, the atmosphere… We like to welcome, discuss, advise and help visitors discover our region.
You can even hear a few words of local dialect, especially on the restaurant menu!
The campsite also has lots of trees, so you feel good and can breathe… and what I like is that we often see locals coming too: even they feel they’re on vacation here.
