In 2026, the campground will be open from March 28 to October 30.

The restaurant is open Friday and Saturday evenings, and then every day for lunch and dinner in July and August.

Mobility

How do I get to the campground without a car?

Camping Le Pré Morjal is accessible by train, bus, bike, or even on foot for hiking enthusiasts. It’s an ideal way to travel more sustainably while fully enjoying the exceptional landscapes of Lozère.

By train

The nearest train station is Mende, located about 30 km from the campground. From Mende, you’ll need to continue by taxi, rental car, or local bus, depending on the available schedules.

By bike

The campground has been awarded the “Accueil Vélo” certification and is located near the Gorges du Tarn cycling routes. It is a popular stop for cycling tourists.

On foot

Urbain V Trail (GR): a historic route connecting the Cévennes and the Aubrac, passing through the Ispagnac Valley.
Tarn Gorges Trail (GR736): a superb linear hike along the gorges with numerous scenic overlooks.
